Specially Designed Deck with Handicapped Steps in Monrovia Maryland
We built this deck for a couple of Handicap gentlemen on Pathway Dr. in the Landsdale development of Monrovia Maryland. This custom designed set of Handicap Steps was specially crafted with a shallow rise of 5.5 inches and extra deep treads at 16.5 inches, allowing our clients to actually stop and rest on any of the steps. The shallow rise is earlier to traverse both up and down without straining your knees. Upon completion our client proclaimed the stairs are a masterpiece and everything they wanted.
The deck is built using Fiberon Good Life Cottage Gray Decking with a Graphite double picture frame border. White monument vinyl Lincoln Rails with black round balusters on 6x6 white vinyl rail posts and a full width Deck Board Rail Cap / Cocktail Rail.
We also added 3 Low Voltage LED lights to the risers for an added level of comfort and safety.
