This 500 square foot upper level deck was built in the Orchards section of New Market Maryland using Fiberon Western Cedar composite boards with Fiberon Tudor Brown for the inlays, picture frame border and stair treads. This project features a unique Checker Board pattern not often seen on composite decking. We strategically placed i-lightings LED post lights approximately 18 inches above the deck surface along with adding riser lights to the stairs. This night photo of a 1200 square foot Fiberon composite deck with Monument vinyl rails was built in the Holly Hills Golf Course Community of Ijamsville Maryland. We installed over 80 LED light fixtures into this deck, including a lighted cap on top of every rail post, a bullet light into the decking between every rail post, a small light on the outside of the deck opposite the bullet lights to accent the knock out roses and multiple riser lights on every step. If you look close you will notice that we continued the octagon pattern from the corner and inlaid that into the deck. Really nice. We wrapped everything in tan PVC. We used steel surface mount rail posts (exceeds county code) and covered them with the larger 6x6 vinyl post sleeves.
