As you sit back and enjoy the moments going through our gallery of
photos, there is one constant you will notice about our
designs, very few basic square decks. One of the options we regularly
create for our clients is the addition of an Octagon.
Whether on a raised, on a lower, or on the same level of the main deck,
an Octagon enhances the sight lines and creates its own
unique space. When on the same level, changing the board pattern
identifies the Octagon's boundaries. Introducing an accent color
here is very impressive. But when changing levels, the Octagon is
distinguished with changing board patterns to aid in eliminating
any trip hazards. Often times we will add accent lighting to illuminate
the transition. We receive many compliments on our
unique and functional designs. As you visualize yourself relaxing or
entertaining on your new deck, let our professionals work
with you in creating the deck of your dreams.
If you look close you will notice that we continued the octagon pattern from the corner and inlaid that into the deck. Really nice. We wrapped everything in tan PVC. We used steel surface mount rail posts (exceeds county code) and covered them with the larger 6x6 vinyl post sleeves. We then added a low voltage LED light to every rail post. - Landsdale Development, Monrovia, MD.

500 square foot Ground level Western Red Cedar deck in Gaithersburg Maryland shows off numerous special features the we love to incorporate into a project. We have our Casey Fence And Deck signature Thunderbird Board pattern with Brazilian Walnut (IPE) inlays and rail cap. We designed this project with a lowered Octagon that features a built in angled back cedar bench. We also crafted a built in cedar planter box. To cap off the project we installed low voltage lighting in the step down to the Octagon and the stairs to the back yard. - Gaithersburg, MD.

While building this cedar deck with cedar railings that we lowered to keep the railings from obstructing the beautiful view we incorporated an Octagon corner, a shade Trellis over the door, flagstone patio and a deck rail border in lieu of a fence. - New Market, MD.

This deck has many special features. We had the Chestnut border inlaid into the deck to complete the Octagon corner of the deck. This also allowed us to have a diagonal board pattern that eliminated unsightly butt joints. - New Market, MD

"We wanted to thank you for the great job you did on our deck. We have received compliments from everyone who sees it. You took an unused, poorly designed space and turned it into a perfect outdoor living area for our family. Your attention to detail and the flexibility you showed when we made changes made it a pleasure to have you work at our home." - The Saxman's (Reston, VA)
