Low Ground Deck with Fiberon Horizon IPE decking in Frederick Maryland
This fantastic looking outdoor addition was the result of replacing a rotted old out of date wood deck that had been given its last coat of Deck Stain. With 38 Years of experience our professional Design consultant decided that this decks current framework was beyond salvation so we opted to tear it out and start from scratch. Because the previous builder was just "Bob in his Beater" and opted not to properly flash the back of this home prior to building the last deck we needed to replace the entire band board on the back of this home. It's unfortunate that someone would save $50.00 that eventually costs a family $1,000.00. A disappointing price to pay when not using a true Deck Specialist.
The transformation that took place was nothing short of incredible for this Custom Deck in Frederick Maryland. With the deck this low to the ground we took extra steps to preserve this families investment by using #1 grade ground contact rated treated framing lumber and Submersion rated treated 6X6 support posts. An absolute must for all decks today but even more so when they are at ground level. Our client chose and extremely beautiful bolo combination starting with Fiberon Horizon IPE decking laid parallel to the house and attached with manufacturer approved self spacing hidden fasteners and incorporating a double picture border using Fiberon ProTect Chestnut Decking attached with color match face screws. Fiberon Composite decking comes with a 25 year warranty against stain and fade and we are backed by the manufacturer for an additional 5 year labor warranty.
Capital Railings Monument Vinyl White Lincoln Rail with Black Round Balusters and aluminum reinforcement channels in both the top and bottom rails for additional strength and support was chosen for the railing system. When added to our over-sized 6X6 rail post sleeves this creates an elegant setting. A Chestnut Cocktail rail was added to the top of the railing to complete this classic design.
