Award Winning Composite Deck Project in Waynesboro Pennsylvania

This was an existing deck project that was originally started by the homeowner who then passed the baton to another local builder who was incapable of bringing the clients vision to fruition. Once we arrived on the scene the crew moved much of the framing, removed the entire front of the deck, re-cut the joists in order to create the curves and added new band boards. Then we removed the stair case and added a new curved set of steps. Once we added the necessary framing and blocking for the new Thunderbird board pattern, we used Fiberon Ipe deck boards attached with manufacturer approved self spacing hidden fasteners and Fiberon Chestnut boards for the heat formed and curved double picture border, inlay and transition boards. We used steel surface mount rail posts inside of our signature white vinyl 6X6 rail post sleeves and added LMT Low Voltage LED post cap and riser lights. This deck not only turned out nicer than ever expected, it won a 2018 Award for the FCBIA Best Outdoor Living Space in its category. It also won first prize award for the #1 CUSTOM DECK IN AMERICA in its category by NADRA (The North American Deck and Railing Assoc.)
