Southern Yellow Pine Deck with Octagon with a Pergola and Bench
We included many special features into this eye catching deck in the Sun Meadows development of Walkersville, MD. The deck itself is pressure treated southern yellow pine with multi patterned angle decking. We have an Octagon off one corner with a built in wrap around cedar bench and matching back covered by a full overhead pergola for shade on those hot days. We created a custom cedar railing to tie into the design on the outside of the bench area and to keep this project unique in the neighborhood. Our clients were looking for some additional storage area but didn't want it to look 'walled off' under the deck so we customized this lattice enclosure and installed a cedar gate for access.
